Days to Auburn Kickoff: 68 Danny Lindsey

We are 68 days away from Auburn kickoff and today we recognize #68 Danny Lindsey.

Danny Lindsey played center and guard on Auburn’s offense from 2001-2004. He played in 44 games, starting 40 of them in his career. The Douglas, Georgia native started every game at center during the 2003 season and moved to right guard and started every game during Auburn’s undefeated 2004 season.

We start our season with the 2017 Chick-fil-A Kickoff, featuring Alabama and Florida State on Saturday, September 2nd. This game will be the first regular-season college game played in the new state-of-the art Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. Following this matchup, we will broadcast The Cowboys Classic (Florida vs. Michigan) from AT&T Stadium. We cap off our weekend coverage on Monday night with the Georgia Tech vs. Tennessee Chick-fil-A Kickoff game from Atlanta.

Tommy Tuberville hops on ESPN 106.7

Former Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville has been in the news around the state for something other than football.  He’s considering running for governor. He said he’s been working his way all around the state. He also explains why his campaign for the governor is not set in stone.

NFL Draft Coverage on ESPN 106.7

On Thursday, April 27th and Friday, April 28th, ESPN 106.7 will broadcast live coverage of the NFL Draft in primetime from Philadelphia. Anchoring Live from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Dari Nowkhah, (co-hosts of Dari & Mel), Bill Polian (NFL Analyst), and ESPN New York’s Chris Canty (NFL Analyst / former DE) will be joined by ESPN.com senior NFL writer John Clayton providing an analysis of each first-round pick.

 

Thursday’s first-round coverage will begin at 7pm ET that includes interviews with draftees and team personnel, as well as the opportunity for listeners to participate via e-mail or phone. Friday’s second-round coverage will begin at 6:30pm ET.

 

In the event of the NFL Draft ending early, live coverage will remain continuous until 1:00am ET.

Additional NFL Draft Coverage:

Mike & Mike, hosted by Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, will broadcast live from Chickie’s & Pete’s in South Philadelphia on April 27 and April 28.

ESPN 106.7 is Moving to New Studios!

The bad news is we have to take down and then reassemble our tower and relocate all of our studio equipment, and that will require us to leave the air for a few days.

We’ll be up and running and back to normal by Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

ESPN Radio’s 20th Major League Baseball Season Begins Opening Day, April 2

ESPN Radio 20 Major League Season

ESPN Radio’s 20th Major League Baseball season of 71 games will include multiple appearances from several top teams including the defending World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, the New York Mets, the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Commentator Jon Sciambi and analyst Chris Singleton return this year as ESPN Radio’s lead commentator team.

The season begins on Opening Day as Kris Bryant and the Cubs visit Yadier Molina and the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday, April 2, at 7 p.m. ET*. ESPN Radio will also broadcast the Cubs’ home opener on Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m. against the Dodgers – a rematch of last year’s National League Championship Series.
Among the other highlights this season include: Seven games showcasing the defending Champion Cubs; seven New York Yankee games; six St. Louis Cardinal matchups; and the New York Yankees visiting the Boston Red Sox on July 16. In addition, ESPN Radio will be the exclusive radio home for the T-Mobile Home Run Derby and the 88th MLB All Star Game from Marlins Park in Miami, on Monday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 11, respectively. Every MLB postseason game will be broadcasted for the 20th consecutive year. Postseason coverage will include any potential tie-breaker games, Wild Card games, National and American League Division Series, National League Championship Series, the American League Championship Series and the World Series.
All MLB games on ESPN Radio will be preceded by the Baseball Tonight pregame show offering news, previews and analysis of upcoming games. As the season progresses, additional matchups on ESPN Radio will be announced.

ESPN 106.7 Wins Multiple ABBY Awards from the Alabama Broadcasters Association

Broadcast professionals from across Alabama attended the presentation of the Alabama Broadcasters Association’s “Best in Broadcasting Awards” on Saturday, March 25th at the Hyatt Regency in Hoover and ESPN 1067 received multiple ABBY Awards at the ceremony.

Z with ABBYThe Lunch Break, hosted by Zac Blackerby and Dana Solanon weekdays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. was named “Best Sports Show”.

The ESPN 106.7 App, developed by Riley Hubbard, received the ABBY for “Best Radio App”.

ESPN 106-7’s sister station, Classic Hits 94-3, also received some impressive honors. Rich Perkins and Jeremy Henderson of Rich & Jeremy in the Morningwere named “Best Personality or Team” while the show received the ABBY Award for “Best Morning Show”.

Rich & Jeremy in the Morning airs weekday mornings from 6:00 – 9:00 on Classic Hits Wings 94.3.
